There have been rumours that ICICI bank, the second largest bank in India, is on the verge of collapse. Naturally, in these situations, people panic and start to withdraw funds from the bank. When a majority of customers starts to withdraw funds, any bank will collapse.
So let’s take the case of ICICI. Will that collapse in the near future? Well, the Finance Minister says that ICICI is having no problems. So people can stop speculating.
Even if the worst happens, the Government will nationalize the bank and takeover the accounts. People will not loose anything.
So remain calm. Like me. And keep your assets in SBI.

“The people of India love you”, says Manmohan Sigh to US President George Bush. Apparently he has got his hands on the good stuff because he was able to say this, to Bush’s face without drooling. There were also no visible nervous tics. As I said , the mark if a superior prouduct. Must be American. Or Italian.

Exactly how does the US intend to help India with it’s war on terror. It is not even capable of ending a four year sham war that is occurring in Iraq. Do they intend to help by stopping support to Pakistan? Werent they just recently chased out of Pakistan by their own technology, that they gifted to Pakistan? The US needs to stop trying to help others and start Turing to get out the mess that it is currently in. India can take care if itself.

How can anyone claim any victory or moral high ground after bombing a bunch of innnocent civilians? I especially don’t understand why Indian Muslim Clerics are not denouncing the Indian Mujahideen after they had taken credit for the New Delhi bombings. Killing during the holy month of Ramadan. How sinful is that?

15 dead and 85 injured. The question is: For what?
Who stands to gain by bombing a city? Nobody is buying the holy war excuse be it in Kashmir,Pakistan or Iraq. If it comes out that the bombers were of Muslim origin then how shameful of them is it to do it in the holy month of Ramadan? Any other minorities fighting a holy war? What about the Tamil Tigers or the Naxals? When are they going to begin their holy war?

Granted, America used to be rich and famous. Everybody wanted to go and live the American dream. But the past few years have brought all those dreamers back to reality. America is not an attractive prospect anymore. People are loosibg their jobs, the cost of living is skyrocketing, the future presidential candidates seem useless, and no one gives a crap about what they think. Russia told America to mind it’s own business and not to interfere in Georgia. Something which America has obeyed without question.
So I ask again, what relevance does America have today?

Due to Onam the Kerala government has stopped powercuts for two days. Not something to cheer about, having powercuts, in the first place, but we will take anything that is offerred.

The Indian morality police have struck again. This time it is Bengaluru that is under the scanner. Nightlife in Bengaluru now has to end at 11.30pm. After that only cops are allowed outside. Makes you wonder what new rule they will think up next.

First off, congrats to Mr. Abhinav Bindra for winning the gold at the Olympics. It is a magnificent effort. But what does the Indian training system have to do with this? This was an individual effort funded by private money. No one has the right to claim that they were instrumental for this gold. The Indian training system sucks. We are just happy with one gold and will keep on harping about this every chance we get. But will we do anything to change? No.
Also, I wonder why there wasnt a bigger fanfare. Cricketers winning a T20 World Cup were so pampered that they have not bothered to play again.
